Who I Am
Hi, I’m Amanda, the teacher behind Teaching with Toddlers.
I’m a former elementary and middle school teacher, mom of four, and homeschooler. While I loved my time in the classroom, I knew that it wasn’t the right fit for all kids and that it was not what I wanted for my kids. When it came time for my oldest to start kindergarten, I quite teaching and started homeschooling. I wrote a play-based curriculum based on the interests of my children.
Because I have 4 kids of different ages, I wanted to create a curriculum that we could do together with activities that are easy to differentiate for each grade level. That’s why every unit includes 3 math, 3 ELA, and 3 science, social studies, or art activities that can be modified to suit children of five different grade levels!
